Whakahoro Campsite

This is a Great Walk campsite in the Whanganui area. A large, flat, grassy site beside the river, and a good starting or mid-point stop if undertaking the Whanganui Journey.

Whakaipo Campsite

For self contained vehicles only. Camp next to Lake Taupō and enjoy the farm park surroundings and the mountain bike track through native bush.

Whakapapa Holiday Park

Camp in a mountain beech forest, beside a stream. It's a perfect base for exploring the national park with short walks close to the campsite. In winter, skiing is just up the road.

Whakarukumoana Nohoanga Site

Whangaiterenga Campsite

Camp near to where the Whangaiterenga Stream and Kauaeranga River meet.

Whangapoua Campsite

Located on the edge of Whangapoua estuary, this campsite is close to a popular surf break.

Wharehunga Bay Campsite

North-facing site that is a great base for water-based activities in the outer Queen Charlotte Sound.

Whariwharangi Bay campsite

Walk-in or boat-in to this campsite on the Waiharakeke to Whariwharangi section of the Abel Tasman Coast Track. There is no drive-in access.

Whatamango Bay Campsite

Camp beside the beach - fish, explore, enjoy the peace. Ideally placed and recommended for catching late/early Picton ferries (15-min from the terminal).

White Horse Hill Campsite

Camp beneath magnificent alpine scenery including Mt Sefton. Enjoy a variety of walks from the valley floor to mountain tops.

Whites Bay Campsite

This camp has lovely scenery and is close to a surf beach at Pukatea/Whites Bay. Go walking, fishing, swimming or kayaking from here.

Whitikau Campsite

A remote campsite at Whitikau entrance to Raukumara Conservation Park.

Wooded Gully Campsite

Camp beside a stream below tracks leading to Mt Thomas.

Young Forks Campsite

This is a walk-in, backcountry campsite in the Wanaka/Makarora area. Camp in the Young Valley as part of the Gillespie Pass Circuit.
